FBS-1 labelled products are classified as non-hazardous
Insulation products that have been demonstrated to comply with FBS-1 requirements are safe to install and use in buildings and other applications. The approval for the use of the ICANZ FBS-1 Trademark in Australia is a voluntary declaration validating that the products chemical composition falls within the range of exempted reference fibres that have been tested in accordance with the European Union Note Q Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008. Insulation installers should always follow the guidance documented in the safe work method statement and the manufacturer’s instructions.
