Federal Renewable power incentives
Households across Australia installing; a small scale solar, wind or hydro renewable electricity system or; a solar or heat pump hot water system; may be eligible for a benefit Certificates and Solar Credits.via Small-scale Technology
Included in the ACT Home energy assessment and rebate (up to $500 total):
- ceiling insulation, including a top up of existing insulation**
- underfloor and cavity wall insulation**
- window pelmets
- lined block-out curtains (or equivalent blinds)
- double-glazed windows, including window treatments that achieve a similar effect, such as plastic film
- insulation of hot water pipes**
- WELS 3- star showerheads
- draft-sealing around window and doors
- an insulation cover for external electric of gas storage hot water tanks**
- energy-efficient lighting that replaces other types of existing light
- removal of downlights and repairs to the ceiling if it compromises ceiling insulation effectiveness**
- installation of approved fire rated downlight covers
- construction of trombe walls or similar constructions that increase the thermal mass of a house
- self-sealing exhaust fans that are replacing an existing non-sealed exhaust fan
- exhaust fan covers
- ceiling fans
- external shading
- external insulative cladding, only for concrete-walled (monocrete) dwellings**
