Does this Standard change the IARC rating?

FBS-1 Glass Wool is the latest in formulation development and has not been evaluated by IARC.

Is the product Hazardous?

No. FBS-1 is not classified a Hazardous Substance according to the criteria of the NOHSC guidelines.

What are the relevant Standards & Regulations?

National Occupational Health and Safety Commission in 1999 updated two standards:

NOHSC: 10005 (1999) List of Designated Hazardous Substances. April 1999 NOHSC: 10008 (1999) Approved Criteria for Classifying Hazardous Substances. April 1999.

FBS-1 Glass Wool has been developed by complying with the clauses in these documents with the result that it is not classifiable.

These NOHSC Standards have now been taken up in all States.
